Honda HRC to get new boss with Koji Watanabe set for retirement

Leadership changes are coming to Honda's motorsport operations as the head of HRC prepares to step down. Koji Watanabe will conclude his tenure at the start of 2027, handing over leadership to Keiichi Yasuda.

Watanabe has spent decades with the manufacturer since coming aboard in 1987 and took charge of the racing division in 2022, a period marked by the unification of the brand's motorcycle and automobile competition departments.
