Following the conclusion of their three-match series, both India and the West Indies faced financial penalties for failing to maintain the required pace of play during the final ODI. Match referee Prakash Bhatt issued a 20 percent match fee deduction for the Indian squad for being four overs behind, while the West Indies were docked 10 percent for a two-over deficit.
The captains of both sides accepted these findings without a formal hearing after the on-field officiating crew reported the infractions.
India secured the series victory with a 2-1 record despite the loss in the final match, where the West Indies successfully chased a target of 351. While the Indian top order featuring Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, and Virat Kohli displayed strong form throughout the series, the team struggled with bowling consistency.
The match was overseen by umpires Jayaraman Madanagopal, Sam Nogajski, Sharfuddoula Ibne Shahid, and Virender Sharma.
