Sikandar Raza led his side with a 49-ball 45, while Brendan Taylor and Craig Ervine added 39 and 38 runs respectively. Innocent Kaia added 34 and Ben Curran made 30, with Wessly Madhevere providing a quick 26 off 13 deliveries lower down the order.

Australia's bowling attack shared the breakthroughs effectively, with Josh Hazlewood taking 2-48 across nine overs and Cooper Connolly claiming 2-25. Matt Renshaw and Adam Zampa also secured two wickets each, while Ollie Peake and Nathan Ellis chipped in with one dismissal apiece to help terminate the Zimbabwean innings short of fifty overs.
