During his sophomore campaign in 2026, defensive lineman Mariyon Dye has put up seven tackles, five stops behind the line of scrimmage, and four sacks across four appearances for the Volunteers. Assistant coach Andrew Jackson recently highlighted the young lineman's mental maturation, noting that a more relaxed approach and a renewed focus on fundamental stance and vision have allowed him to perform with significantly greater self-assurance this season.
This follows a freshman campaign in 2025 where the Elkhart, Indiana product saw action in seven contests, totaling eight tackles, 1.5 tackles for a loss, and one sack. When making his college choice, Dye ultimately selected the program over several major contenders, including Florida State, Georgia, LSU, Michigan, Ohio State, Penn State, and Purdue.
