Green Bay Packers' Josh Jacobs denies TD celebration was tied to arrest

Green Bay running back Josh Jacobs addressed a recent uproar following his performance against Carolina, pushing back against public backlash over his end-zone routine. Observers on social media heavily criticized the veteran ball carrier for a gesture mimicking restraints after he crossed the goal line during a recent Thursday night matchup.

Jacobs had recently returned to action after serving a multi-week absence on the league's exempt list stemming from a springtime legal matter. The Wisconsin franchise secured a 27-19 victory over the visiting squad, improving their record during an evening contest at their home stadium.

Jacobs recorded multiple scoring runs during the game to help secure the double-digit halftime advantage before later clarifying the intent behind the controversial celebration.
