Footy Fix: Manchester United defender sounds off on club; Manchester City host PSG at Etihad

Manchester United’s Champions League struggles deepened after a 2-0 defeat to Atlético Madrid, with defender Lisandro Martínez openly criticizing his team’s lack of cohesion and competitiveness in Europe’s top competition. The Red Devils, now with just three wins in nine games across all competitions this season, face mounting pressure on manager Michael Carrick following a performance that saw them concede early and fail to mount a credible challenge against a dominant Atlético side.

Meanwhile, the Champions League’s Wednesday slate features a high-profile clash as Manchester City welcome Paris Saint-Germain to the Etihad Stadium, with Pep Guardiola’s side aiming to extend their dominance in the tournament. Other standout fixtures include José Mourinho’s return to his former club Roma as Real Madrid take on the Italian side, while Liverpool and Borussia Dortmund also look to build momentum in their respective group stages.
