Manchester City defender Ruben Dias sat down with Kelly Somers for a fourteen-minute episode of BBC Radio 5 Live's The Football Interview, broadcast on 12 September 2026. The Portuguese international discussed adapting to current manager Enzo Maresca following a ten-year spell of triumphs under Pep Guardiola.

He also reflected on how the squad's dynamics have shifted after the recent summer departures of teammates Bernardo Silva and John Stones, while sharing his optimism about the club's direction.

Throughout the conversation, Dias explored his journey to establishing himself among the world's elite centre-backs, highlighting his time in the Benfica academy and the significant role his parents played during his early development. The discussion further delved into his personal mindset, his off-pitch downtime, his top memory from the Guardiola era, and the goals he still hopes to achieve as he enters his thirties.
