Fenerbahce v Liverpool: Champions League – live

Liverpool’s Champions League campaign took a dramatic turn in Istanbul as Trey Nyoni opened the scoring in the 25th minute, heading in a defensive clearance past Fenerbahce goalkeeper Ederson. The Turkish side fought back with a leveler from Mason Greenwood on the 29th minute, converting a free kick after a deflection from defender Clement Jacquet.

The match saw Liverpool dominate possession early, with Mohamed Salah and Virgil van Dijk creating multiple chances, but Fenerbahce’s resilience kept them in the game. By halftime, the score stood at 1-1, with both teams earning corners and near-goals.

Liverpool’s bench reacted sharply when Greenwood was pushed down by Fenerbahce’s Georgios Tsimikas, leading to a booking for former Liverpool striker Ruud van Nistelrooy. The game ended with one minute of stoppage time, leaving fans with a high-octane draw in a crucial Champions League clash.
