Pakistan national team leader Fatima Sana has agreed to terms with the Perth Scorchers for the upcoming Women's Big Bash League campaign. The twenty-four-year-old allrounder is set to play the initial eight fixtures of the tournament under a single-season agreement.
This move makes her only the second competitor from Pakistan to join the competition, following Nida Dar's stint with the Sydney Thunder during the 2019-20 circuit. Sana previously missed selection when nominated for the former overseas player draft, but secured this direct placement after that selection method was discontinued.
Club management and general manager Kade Harvey expressed enthusiasm regarding the addition of the experienced white-ball player, who is eager to perform at the WACA Ground.
