Eagles sign RB Jaydon Blue to active roster with Jalen Hurts officially on IR

The Philadelphia Eagles made a pair of roster moves ahead of Sunday’s game against the Carolina Panthers. Quarterback Jalen Hurts was placed on injured reserve, clearing space for the activation of running back Jaydon Blue from the practice squad.

Blue, a fifth-round pick by the Dallas Cowboys in 2025, joins the team after being released by Texas earlier this season. In his rookie campaign, he recorded 129 rushing yards and a touchdown on 38 carries across five appearances.

With Saquon Barkley sidelined and two other backs on IR, Blue will team up with Dameon Pierce and Carson Steele as the Eagles’ primary running backs for the matchup. The team also elevated linebacker Keyshawn James-Newby and safety Cole Wisniewski from the practice squad to bolster the depth chart.
