Rangers fell just short of claiming the top spot in the Scottish Premiership after a hard-fought 2-2 draw with Dundee at the weekend. The match saw Dundee take an early lead when Bradley Fink capitalised on a defensive error, rounding the Rangers goalkeeper to open the scoring.
However, Rangers fought back with two goals of their own: Badredine Bouanani’s curling strike and Nicolas Raskin’s audacious effort from outside the box, which found the underside of the crossbar. Callum Jones then restored parity for Dundee in the second half, snatching the ball from Rangers captain Dan Neil and slotting it past the goalkeeper.
Despite their late equaliser, Rangers remain in second place, now one point behind league leaders Celtic, who will look to extend their lead when they host Hearts this Sunday. Dundee’s resilience and a lack of creativity from Rangers ultimately decided the outcome, with the visitors earning a point that could prove crucial in their title challenge.
