Ducati team principal Davide Tardozzi has addressed the state of the MotoGP championship following the cancellation of the Australian Grand Prix. The event was called off due to safety concerns regarding visibility, preventing Marc Marquez from building on the ten-point lead he established over Jorge Martin during the Sprint race.
Martin suffered a wrist fracture during that contest, though he is expected to be fit for the upcoming round in Sepang.
Tardozzi expressed admiration for Martin's resilience while noting that Marco Bezzecchi displayed significant pace throughout the weekend despite challenging weather conditions. Looking ahead, the Ducati management remains focused on the title race, emphasizing that safety protocols necessitated the cancellation of the main event at the circuit.
