Alex Eala and Desirae Krawczyk withdraw from playing doubles in Tokyo with reason given

Alex Eala will proceed solely in the singles competition at the Tokyo Open after her planned doubles partnership with Desirae Krawczyk was canceled. Krawczyk pulled out of the doubles draw due to a back injury sustained following her successful title run at the Ningbo Open alongside Fanny Stollar.

Consequently, the alternate duo of Yulia Putintseva and Liudmila Samsonova stepped into the vacancy to face Miyu Kato and Hao-Ching Chan. Eala remains the eighth seed in Tokyo and prepares for an opening round encounter against Mika Stojsavljevic, marking her penultimate appearance of the season.
