The Los Angeles squad has secured the second seed in the National League postseason and will host their opening series at Dodger Stadium beginning on Saturday, October 3. They will await the winner of the upcoming wild card matchup between the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves.
The Phillies secured the sixth seed following a home victory on Sunday that ended a four-game skid, while the Braves claimed the third seed by winning the NL East. During the regular season, Los Angeles dropped five of six contests against Atlanta, including a trio of tight one-run defeats on the road highlighted by a stellar pitching duel.
Conversely, the squad found more success against Philadelphia, taking four out of six games through victories in both California and Pennsylvania. The upcoming wild card showdown between Philadelphia and Atlanta will begin Tuesday at Truist Park, with television coverage provided by NBC and Peacock.
