Daniil Medvedev suggests if he believes he can overtake Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in the rankings now

Following a difficult campaign last year, Daniil Medvedev has bounced back by capturing three titles and advancing into the top 10 of the ATP rankings. Currently competing to defend his crown at the Almaty Open, the former world number one reached the quarter-finals by defeating Sho Shimabukoro in straight sets.

During his post-match media session, the veteran athlete addressed his chances of catching Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner in the standings. He noted that while he continues to battle against them every time they meet, the two younger stars remain superior when fully healthy.

Medvedev also reflected on his past career experiences, acknowledging that Novak Djokovic offered him assistance when he was a developing youngster on the tour.
