The Dakar 2026 Youth Olympic Games beach volleyball tournament has finalized its pools for both men’s and women’s competitions, with 24 teams in each division set to compete from October 31 to November 4. The men’s draw features Germany as the top seed in Pool A, alongside Sierra Leone, Namibia, and Morocco, while Austria leads Pool B with Iran, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, and the Cayman Islands.
Australia, Norway, Venezuela, and Senegal (as hosts) round out the remaining pools. In the women’s event, China tops Pool A with Paraguay, Canada, and The Gambia, while the Netherlands, Switzerland, Italy, and Mozambique lead their respective pools.
Hosts Senegal will compete in Pool F alongside Malaysia, the Dominican Republic, and Cape Verde. Teams were allocated based on FIVB rankings, with the top six seeds fixed and the rest drawn via a serpentine system.
The pool phase will determine advancement, with the top two teams from each pool plus the best third-place finishers qualifying for the round of 16.
