The NFL has handed down a one-game ban to San Francisco linebacker Dre Greenlaw following his conduct during the first half of Sunday's matchup against Seattle. The league determined that Greenlaw violated sportsmanship regulations when he headbutted Seahawks linebacker Ernest Jones while on the opposing sideline.
Greenlaw, who was removed from the contest after the incident, faces his second suspension for such behavior in the 2025 calendar year. He is currently slated to be reinstated on October 20, missing the upcoming Monday night game against Washington.
Should the player choose to contest the ruling, his case would be reviewed by designated neutral hearing officers including Derrick Brooks, Jordy Nelson, Ron Rivera, or James Thrash.
