Cremer plays his first ODI in eight years, Zimbabwe bat first

Graeme Cremer has returned to the ODI lineup for Zimbabwe, marking his first appearance in the format in eight years. At the toss, Zimbabwe won the right to bat first in the fixture.

The team made two changes to their XI, bringing in Cremer and Tino Mutombodzi to replace Hamilton Masakadza and Donald Nyamhuri. Meanwhile, the opposing side made their own adjustments by introducing Mitchell Johnson and Xavier Bartlett to the lineup in place of Josh Hazlewood and Billy Stanlake.
