Christian McCaffrey has mild hamstring strain, 49ers optimistic he'll play after bye

The 49ers' star running back Christian McCaffrey has been diagnosed with a minor hamstring strain following Sunday's defeat to the Falcons. Head coach Kyle Shanahan expressed optimism regarding his return, suggesting the injury is unlikely to impact his availability for Week 9 after the team's upcoming bye week.

On Sunday, McCaffrey recorded 39 rushing yards and a touchdown on seven carries, while also contributing 61 receiving yards on six receptions.

Beyond McCaffrey, the team is also monitoring the several other key players, including Deebo Samuel, Nick Bosa, and Mike Evans, who they hope to have back for the next games. However, the team has not yet provided more definitive updates on their status for thesere players.
