The Chicago Bears have solidified their place in the Super Bowl conversation after a commanding 34–17 victory over the Seattle Seahawks on Monday night. Quarterback Caleb Williams delivered his best performance of the season, throwing for over 200 yards and leading an offense that amassed 363 total yards—the most by any team against Seattle this year.
The Bears’ defense, bolstered by the addition of defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons, also made a strong statement with six combined tackles and a sack from the rookie in his debut. The move to acquire Simmons, a disruptive interior lineman, came at the cost of two first-round draft picks, signaling Chicago’s all-in approach to contending.
While the team still needs defensive reinforcements—such as a starting-caliber cornerback or pass-rushing help—they’ve already addressed their biggest weakness with Simmons’ impactful start. With a 6–2 record and a clear upward trajectory, the Bears are now facing the challenge of managing heightened expectations as they push toward a playoff run.
