Notre Dame in bad shape as first CFP rankings announced Tuesday

The College Football Playoff selection committee unveiled its inaugural rankings for the 2026 season on Tuesday, November 3. Notre Dame finds itself in a precarious position, opening at number 11 in the initial top 25 list.

This placement sets the stage for a critical upcoming contest on November 7 against top-ranked Miami. With the Irish currently sitting outside the top 10, their path to the postseason remains narrow as the committee continues to evaluate the chaotic landscape of the current year.
