CC Sabathia gets his ‘surreal’ Yankees forever moment with number retirement ceremony

The New York Yankees recently celebrated legendary pitcher CC Sabathia by retiring his uniform number 52 and placing a plaque in Monument Park during a ceremony at the stadium. Because an incoming nor'easter threatened weekend weather conditions, the tribute was shifted ahead of schedule to Friday as part of a single-admission doubleheader against the Orioles.

During the festivities, Sabathia also offered advice to current team captain Aaron Judge regarding a calf strain.
