Carlos Alcaraz secured his 28th career ATP trophy by capturing the Vienna Open title. This victory extends his flawless streak in ATP 500 level competitions to five consecutive tournaments, dating back to his performance at Queen's Club last year.
During the final, he defeated Alex de Minaur with a score of 6-1, 6-4, maintaining his perfect 7-0 lifetime record against the Australian player. With this win, the 23-year-old Spaniard now ranks third all-time for titles among his countrymen, trailing only Rafael Nadal and Manuel Orantes.
Looking ahead, Alcaraz is preparing to compete for his first ATP Finals title in Turin in two weeks. While he holds a 10-7 career advantage over rival Jannik Sinner, the two have played sparingly in 2026 due to injury absences.
Sinner, who defeated Alcaraz at the Monte Carlo event earlier this year, is expected to return to action at the Six Kings Slam in late December.
