Celtic Braced For January Bids For 25-Year-Old With Man United & Tottenham Interested: Should O’Neill Refuse To Sell?

Celtic manager Martin O'Neill faces a difficult decision regarding midfielder Benjamin Nygren as the January transfer window approaches. The 25-year-old Swede has been a vital offensive contributor this season, tallying six goals and four assists across 11 Premiership appearances.

With interest emerging from Manchester United, Tottenham, and Nottingham Forest, the club must weigh the financial benefits of a potential sale against the sporting impact of losing their top scorer mid-season. Nygren, who joined from FC Nordsjælland in 2025 for £1.7 million, remains under contract until 2030, giving the Scottish side significant leverage in any upcoming negotiations.
