Can Washington get a road win against the Cowboys in Dallas early in the season to avoid an 0-2 start?

Looking to prevent an 0-2 start to the 2026 campaign, the Washington Commanders visit Dallas in Week 2 following a tight 24-22 defeat against Philadelphia. In that opening matchup, Washington rallied with two fourth-quarter touchdowns and had an opportunity to tie during the final minute before coming up short.

Head coach Dan Quinn's roster faces defensive backfield challenges, as Trey Amos has landed on injured reserve and Mike Sainristil looks to rebound from a rough performance alongside teammates Jayden Daniels and Sonny Styles.

The host Cowboys enter the contest as favorites despite falling 28-20 to the New York Giants in their opener. While Dak Prescott's unit was limited to just two possessions across the entire second half due to New York's sustained drives, head coach Brian Schottenheimer voiced support for new defensive coordinator Christian Parker following their initial breakdown.
