The Brooklyn Nets are exercising caution with rookie Mikel Brown Jr. after the sixth overall pick rolled his left ankle during a workout prior to training camp.
General manager Sean Marks indicated the injury is not expected to keep the twenty-year-old sidelined for an extended period. Brown has resumed limited on-court movement and strengthening exercises, though he remains without full-contact clearance as the team prepares for its upcoming preseason matchup against Charlotte.
Last year, fellow top draft selection Egor Demin similarly missed time during training camp due to a left plantar fascia injury.
