Brent Venables Doubles Down on Standards After Oklahoma’s 2-2 Start

Oklahoma head coach Brent Venables remains steadfast in maintaining high expectations for his program despite a disappointing two and two start to the season. Following recent losses to Michigan, New Mexico, and Georgia, Venables emphasized during an interview with Toby Rowland that the team must raise its standards rather than lower them.

Despite the coach expressing strong belief in his roster and staff, the statistical reality points to severe offensive struggles for the Sooners. The squad currently averages twenty-two points per contest, ranking eighty-second nationally, alongside poor numbers in total offense, rushing production, and a deeply negative turnover margin.
