Bowl projections for the Auburn Tigers ahead of Week 5

Following a recent 21-15 victory against Vanderbilt at home, the Auburn Tigers sit at 3-1 overall and have begun drawing varying postseason forecasts from analysts entering Week 5. Erick Smith of USA TODAY projects a matchup with Memphis in the Birmingham Bowl, while ESPN's Kyle Bonagura forecasts an appearance in the AutoZone Liberty Bowl against Cincinnati and Mark Schlabach expects a Birmingham Bowl date with NC State.

Additional projections place the squad against West Virginia in either the Texas Bowl, courtesy of Brad Crawford, or the Liberty Bowl, according to Athlon Sports. Meanwhile, The Athletic calculates a seven-win ceiling for the team under its first-year leadership.
