The St. Louis Blues have sent 21-year-old defenseman Logan Mailloux to the Springfield Thunderbirds of the American Hockey League (AHL) for a conditioning assignment.
This move comes as the Blues continue to manage their roster depth amid a busy season, with multiple prospects and young players cycling through the organization's minor-league affiliates. Mailloux, a rising talent in the Blues' system, joins fellow prospect Quinton Burns, who was also recently reassigned to Springfield.
The Thunderbirds provide a valuable development platform for NHL prospects, allowing them to refine their skills while staying close to the parent club's system. Meanwhile, the Blues' prospect pipeline remains active, with recent standout performances from players like Milton Gastrin and Tynan Lawrence drawing attention.
Gastrin, a former Boston University standout, has been making waves in the SHL after being traded as part of the Jordan Kyrou deal, while Lawrence continues to shine in the AHL with the Thunderbirds.
