Big 12 football bowl projections, CFP picture after Week 8 results

Following the conclusion of Week 8, analysts have updated their postseason outlooks for the Big 12. BYU and Utah remain the primary contenders for the College Football Playoff, with some projections even forecasting postseason victories for both programs.

Conversely, Colorado, TCU, and Kansas are currently excluded from all bowl projections, with Colorado facing a difficult path to eligibility after a five-game slide. Meanwhile, Texas Tech is widely expected to appear in the Alamo Bowl, while UCF is trending toward its first bowl appearance since 2023 following a recent upset.
