Australian official Ben Treloar is currently working across a pair of Ranji Trophy fixtures in India as part of a collaborative umpire exchange initiative established by Cricket Australia alongside the Board of Control for Cricket in India. Treloar brings extensive background to his assignments, having previously managed dozens of matches across first-class cricket, List A fixtures, the Big Bash League, and international women's limited-overs competition.
His schedule began with a match featuring Delhi and Gujarat before moving to a contest between Mumbai and Haryana. Concurrently, Indian match official Parashar Joshi has departed for Australia to oversee three matches under the same reciprocal scheme.
Joshi holds significant experience within domestic tournaments in India, including the Ranji Trophy, Duleep Trophy, Vijay Hazare Trophy, and the Indian Premier League. His upcoming duties encompass a Sheffield Shield meeting between Queensland and Tasmania, a One Day Cup clash involving the same squads, and a subsequent fixture pairing New South Wales against Queensland.
The overarching goal of the bilateral program is to grant officials valuable exposure to foreign domestic playing conditions.
