Diogo Moreira’s first words after securing "dream" factory Honda MotoGP seat

October 20, 2026

Diogo Moreira has expressed his excitement after securing a 2027 factory Honda seat, describing the opportunity as a childhood aspiration. The rookie, currently competing with LCR Honda, was selected for the squad alongside Fabio Quartararo, edging out competition from David Alonso.

Meanwhile, the Moto2 competitor filling Moreira's spot at LCR will be Johann Zarco, while Alex Barros previously stood as the last Brazilian to represent the factory Honda squad back in 2004. HRC general manager Yuzuru Ishikawa praised Moreira's natural aptitude for transitioning rapidly across varying classes of machinery, spanning motocross up to premier class competition.
