Papers: Arsenal and Spurs in battle for Brugge striker

North London rivals Arsenal and Tottenham are both pursuing Club Brugge forward Nicolo Tresoldi, with the Gunners currently holding the advantage in the race. Meanwhile, Jamie Carragher views Arsenal as favorites to defend their Premier League crown despite their lack of attacking star power.

Elsewhere, Newcastle are monitoring Valencia winger David Otorbi, and Barcelona are weighing up a summer 2027 bid for Liverpool captain Virgil van Dijk.

Tottenham manager Roberto De Zerbi has requested the appointment of former Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio while targeting Real Madrid youngster Endrick for a January attacking reinforcement. Aston Villa midfielder Emiliano Buendia is closing in on a contract extension following positive discussions.

Additionally, Liverpool winger Rio Ngumoha dismissed links to Arsenal as talks over a new deal at Anfield proceed smoothly.
