Bears, Bills and Ravens win on record-breaking Sunday

Week 1 of the 2026 NFL campaign kicked off with historic offensive displays and key road triumphs. Chicago outdueled Carolina 59-37 in a showdown that established a new league record for the most total points scored during an opening week, ranking as the twelfth highest-scoring contest in NFL annals.

Caleb Williams orchestrated the offensive explosion with 269 passing yards alongside two aerial touchdowns and a pair of rushing scores. Meanwhile, Lamar Jackson guided Baltimore to a decisive road victory against Indianapolis, and Derrick Henry delivered a historic three-touchdown performance.

In Houston, Josh Allen posted 334 yards through the air to capture his first career victory on the Texans' home turf. Buffalo preserved the narrow triumph late in the fourth quarter after Houston threatened from the nine-yard line.

Defensive end Greg Rousseau brought down C.J. Stroud to strip away the football, allowing Terrel Bernard to fall on the loose ball and seal the contest for the visitors.
