Bayern monitoring Wirtz - Monday's gossip

Bayern Munich are tracking Germany midfielder Florian Wirtz, 23, during his spell with Liverpool. The Merseyside outfit are also considering a club-record pursuit of 20-year-old Brazilian attacker Rayan from Bournemouth, who holds a £130m release clause that takes effect in 2027.

Meanwhile, Liverpool hold an option to buy Barcelona loanee Ronald Araujo, a 27-year-old Uruguay defender, on a permanent basis for 55m euros (£47.2m). Both Liverpool and Manchester United have been tied to Pierre Kalulu, but Juventus refuse to let the 26-year-old French defender depart during the winter window.

Furthermore, Liverpool's 22-year-old English defender Luke Chambers has attracted January interest from Celtic as well as teams across the Championship.

Elsewhere, Borussia Dortmund manager Niko Kovac has dismissed any chance of bringing back unattached 26-year-old England winger Jadon Sancho, whose representative has engaged in discussions with several Premier League sides. Dortmund have instead scouted 18-year-old Leicester City midfielder Louis Page, competing directly with Manchester United for the young Englishman.

Off the pitch, Tottenham have presented a job proposal to former Inter Milan sporting director Piero Ausilio, with the 54-year-old Italian poised to arrive in time for the January window.
