Twenty-four-year-old scrum-half Teddy Wilson has earned a selection in the upcoming Australia squad for the November Nations Championships Tests. The young playmaker previously led his country during the 2023 Under-20 World Championships and has performed strongly for the Waratahs.
He will join Tate McDermott in supporting the primary choice nine, Ryan Lonergan, during the upcoming fixtures. Teddy is the offspring of former Wallabies captain David Wilson, who secured a victory in the 1999 Rugby World Cup final against France.
The elder Wilson accumulated seventy-nine appearances for his national side and currently displays his historic match jersey within his household. Despite his achievements, the former loose forward maintains a hands-off approach to his son's career development, offering advice only when requested.
