Asian Games 2026 Day 4: Mirabai Chanu ends Asiad medal wait; India win two skeet bronzes in shooting

Mirabai Chanu secured a silver medal during the women's forty-nine kilogram competition on Wednesday, capturing the country's initial weightlifting podium finish at the continental multi-sport competition since Karnam Malleswari achieved a silver twenty-eight years prior. Additionally, shooting squads earned a pair of third-place finishes in the skeet disciplines.

In the women's group competition, the trio consisting of Raiza Dhillon, Maheshwari Chauhan, and Parinaaz Dhaliwal accumulated a total of three hundred thirty-one points to claim the bronze. Meanwhile, the men's trio formed by Anantjeet Singh Naruka, Mairaj Ahmad Khan, and Bhavtegh Singh Gill amassed three hundred forty-six points to secure their own third-place medal.
