Ashton Jeanty starts 2nd season in a big way

Las Vegas Raiders running back Ashton Jeanty delivered an impressive showing to launch his second professional season, guiding his squad to a 27-13 home victory against the Miami Dolphins in Week 1. The former Boise State standout shouldered a heavy workload on the ground, tallying 102 rushing yards across 23 attempts while also hauling in two touchdown receptions.

Head coach Klint Kubiak integrated the second-year back into 50 total offensive plays, resulting in a 71.0 grade from Pro Football Focus and placing Jeanty into the league record books twice after just one contest. The season-opening win also featured rookie Treydan Stukes making his mark on the field, even as the majority of the team's newest draft selections remained sidelined.
