Left-arm fast bowler Arshdeep Singh recorded figures of 4/70 from his ten overs during the opening one-day international against New Zealand on November 4, 2026. His performance at Eden Park helped dismiss the hosts for a modest total of 185 runs in the first fixture of the five-match series.
Joining Javagal Srinath and Mohammed Shami, Singh became only the third Indian pace bowler to claim four wickets in a single ODI innings on New Zealand pitches. His fourth dismissal of the day removed Glenn Phillips and left the batting side struggling at 146 for nine.
Additional bowling contributions came from Gurnoor Brar with three wickets and Anshul Kamboj with two. Singh's spell stands as the fourth-highest bowling performance by an Indian fast bowler in the country, trailing previous efforts by Srinath and Shami.
