Chase Harlan continued his dominant offensive stretch in the Arizona Fall League, delivering another powerful performance for the Glendale Desert Dogs. The Dodgers prospect hit his fifth home run of the season on Tuesday, a three-run blast in the seventh inning that helped secure a 10-5 victory over the Mesa Solar Sox.
With 15 runs and 17 RBIs already on the season, Harlan remains the Desert Dogs’ most dangerous hitter, currently tied for second in the AFL with five home runs and maintaining a strong offensive line with a .281 batting average and a 1.004 OPS. The win also marked a notable outing for the Desert Dogs’ bullpen, as Brooks Auger entered the game in relief after starter Briggs McKenie pitched four strong innings, though Auger allowed four baserunners in his two frames.
Meanwhile, Eduardo Quintero, the only other Dodgers player in the lineup, contributed an RBI despite going hitless in three at-bats, though he continues to lead the team in stolen bases with six successful attempts. The Desert Dogs will look to build on this momentum when they face the Surprise Saguaros on Wednesday evening.
