Aprilia team management has clarified the decision to withdraw Jorge Martin from the Malaysian Grand Prix weekend following his recent wrist fracture sustained at Phillip Island. After testing his physical condition during Saturday morning practice at Sepang and completing a limited number of laps, the contender opted to halt his participation due to insufficient braking strength.

The outfit intends to send the rider back to Spain immediately for targeted recovery before determining his availability for the upcoming Doha round. Marc Marquez currently holds a significant advantage in the championship standings ahead of the weekend races.
