AP Poll keeps Texas Longhorns No. 1 in latest Top 25 ranking

The Texas Longhorns held onto the top position in the latest AP Top 25 poll following a narrow three-point victory on the road against Tennessee. This marks the third consecutive week the squad has occupied the number one ranking.

Georgia sits directly behind them at second place, while Notre Dame, Miami, and Ohio State round out the top tier. Meanwhile, the Florida Gators surged to eighth overall after securing a dominant win over Ole Miss.

Conversely, former top-ten mainstays Texas A&M and Oklahoma fell completely out of the rankings after suffering heavy defeats to LSU and Georgia respectively. Across the entire poll, the SEC leads all conferences with ten ranked programs, followed by the Big Ten with six, the Big 12 with five, and the ACC with two.
