Afghanistan has climbed to sixth position in the international governing body's one day rankings, moving ahead of Sri Lanka after accumulating ninety-four rating points. This upward shift follows a dominant four-nil series sweep against Ireland, where multiple players delivered standout performances with the bat.

Sediqullah Atal accumulated three hundred thirteen runs overall, featuring a massive knock of one hundred forty-three runs during the fourth fixture, while Ibrahim Zadran also contributed a century in that same match. Rahmat Shah secured victory in the final contest with an unbeaten one hundred forty-three, and Rashid Khan claimed the player of the series accolade despite missing two fixtures.
