New York Yankees slugger Aaron Judge made a heartfelt appearance at the New York City Marathon on Sunday, offering unwavering support to his wife, Samantha, as she completed her fourth consecutive race. Judge, who has made cheering Samantha on at the event an offseason tradition, was spotted along the course holding their one-year-old daughter, Nora, while wearing a Yankees jersey.
The pair shared an emotional reunion near the finish line in Central Park, where Judge had switched into an Air Jordan shirt. Samantha crossed the line with an unofficial time of 3:29:44, marking her latest effort in a series of marathons she’s run since 2022.
Judge’s season was cut short by injuries, including a stress fracture in his rib and a calf strain, limiting him to just 66 games and 18 home runs before the Yankees’ postseason exit. Despite the setback, he remains committed to the team’s championship ambitions, as evidenced by his recent pledge to the front office to ‘go all in’ during the offseason.
The marathon win for the women’s division went to Sheila Chepkirui of Kenya, who claimed her second consecutive title with a time of 2:24:36, while Andreas Almgren of Sweden took the men’s race in 2:06:01.
