A Q-School 59 that bested field average by almost 14 shots? Nathan Petronzio did just that

Nathan Petronzio surged to the top of the leaderboard at the PGA Tour Q-School first-stage qualifier in Albuquerque, shooting a 12-under 59. His performance was particularly notable for outperforming the rest of the field by nearly 14 strokes, moving him from the cut line into a two-shot lead.

Petronzio, an Austin native and former Texas Longhorn, joins a select group of players who have carded a 59 at this event. Other competitors currently in contention to advance include Cole Ponich, Blaine Hale, Sam Choi, and Carson Lundell.
