What were the Bears doing? Patriots score improbable TD on final play before halftime

The New England Patriots erased Chicago’s early lead moments before the half when rookie running back Rhamondre Stevenson turned a short catch into a 4.3%-odds touchdown on the final play of the first half. Quarterback Drake Maye added a rushing score earlier in the period, narrowing the Bears’ advantage after D’Andre Swift had given Chicago a 10‑0 start.

The improbable Patriots scores came in Thursday Night Football as the teams headed into halftime tied.
