2026 Week 8 Preview: East Carolina Pirates @ Memphis Tigers

On Thursday, October 22 at 7:30 p.m. ET, the East Carolina Pirates will visit the Memphis Tigers at Simmons Bank Liberty Stadium for an upcoming matchup broadcast on ESPN2.

Both programs enter this contest looking to recover from disappointing defeats last week, as East Carolina fell in overtime to UAB while Memphis dropped its conference record after stumbling against Tulane. The Pirates currently hold a three-game winning streak in the head-to-head series and feature a stout defense anchored by coordinator Jordon Hankins, defensive end Kieran Davis, linebacker Crews Law, and safety Ayden Duncanson, while Memphis boasts a strong home record under its current coaching regime.
