“Unfair” – Ben Shelton Strictly Rejects Claims of Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner’s Dominance ‘Fading’ After Injury Setbacks

October 29, 2026

Ben Shelton has pushed back against narratives suggesting that Carlos Alcaraz and Jannik Sinner have lost their grip on the men's tennis circuit. The American pointed to the pair's major titles this year and Sinner's five Masters 1000 victories as proof of their continued status, despite both players missing time due to physical ailments.

Shelton expressed optimism that both stars will be fully recovered for the Australian Open in 2027. Currently, Shelton is competing at the Swiss Indoors in Basel, while Alcaraz is participating in the Vienna Open.

Both athletes have already secured their spots for the upcoming ATP Finals held in Turin.
