What David Blough, Daronte Jones said about Commanders clash with Eagles

Washington Commanders coordinators Daronte Jones and David Blough are under scrutiny as they prepare for a high-stakes Sunday Night Football matchup against the Philadelphia Eagles. Jones confirmed that the team has integrated former head coach Steve Wilks into the defensive staff to assist with scheme implementation, a move intended to address defensive shortcomings.

While the Commanders currently utilize the second-highest blitz frequency in the league, Jones acknowledged that the pass rush remains unreliable, with pressure and sack percentages ranking in the bottom tier of the NFL. Players like Dorance Armstrong, Odafe Oweh, and Daron Payne are preparing to face backup quarterback Tanner McKee, with Oweh emphasizing a strategy to aggressively pressure the signal-caller.
