Mohammad Rizwan faces a fresh summons from the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency regarding an ongoing inquiry into alleged betting infractions during an overseas Test tour. Investigators retain custody of his mobile device for forensic evaluation following the conclusion of a match at Lord's on August 30.
Imam-ul-Haq is also implicated in the same investigation.
Rizwan has been directed to appear at a designated police station in Lahore on October 2, 2026, at 3:00 PM to assist authorities. The agency warned that failing to attend will lead them to conclude he has no defense to offer regarding the allegations.
His previous legal and administrative appeals to various bodies have so far failed to yield any relief.
